Circleville Township, established in 1833, is one of fifteen townships in Pickaway County, Ohio. It is uniquely named, with no other township in the state sharing its designation.
The township encompasses the city of Circleville, the county seat, and includes the census-designated place of Logan Elm Village. Governance is provided by a three-member board of trustees and an elected fiscal officer, all dedicated to serving the community's needs.
Logan Elm Village
Logan Elm Village is a census-designated place located within Circleville Township, just south of the city of Circleville along U.S. Route 23 in Pickaway County. Residents of Logan Elm Village are Circleville Township residents: the township board of trustees serves the village, and township zoning applies to property there.
The community takes its name from the Logan Elm — the historic tree, once one of the largest elms in the country, under which the Mingo leader Logan was said to have delivered his 1774 speech. The tree stood southeast of Circleville until it was lost to disease in 1964, and the site is preserved today as a state memorial.

Township governance
Circleville Township is governed by a three-member board of trustees, elected by township residents, together with an elected fiscal officer who manages township finances. Trustees meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the township building, and meetings are open to the public.
